I hope everyone had the best week ever going back to school! My first day in my new role as K-5 Educational Technologist was ... not what I expected. But all-in-all, a fun and exciting new beginning. I'll share more as my journey unfolds.

My first day is captured in the graphic. A very happy EdTech person having a blast saying hi and offering support to staff at two different campuses. I used one of my favorite iPad apps to create the graphic called Comic Life. It really makes me feel way more creative than I actually am.
One of the new tech tools that I introduced to staff was Padlet.com to get teachers to tell me what they need or want in regards to EdTech support. It is a web-based tool so all you need is a browser and any device should work. So far so good gathering input, but I'm hoping to get more information. I can offer to help a teacher with what I think they need, but it is so much better if they articulate what they need or want and I can help them with that first.
